Regulations

1. It is the student's responsibility to be punctual and to attend all
classes.

2. Failure to attend classes for whatever reason is considered as an absence
and will be used in calculating the percentage missed. Students bear full
responsibility for checking their own, attendance record.

3. Course instructors should keep attendance records.

4. An “Absentee Warning Notice" will
be issued if a student is absent for:

More than 10% in courses with less than 75 total contact hours .

More than 5% in courses with 75 or more total contact hours.

5. An "Absentee Failure Notice" will
be issued and the student will be withdrawn from the course and given a
'FW’ grade if a student is absent for:

More than 20% in courses with less than 75 total contact hours

More than 15% in courses with 75 to 150 total contact hours
-
More than 10% for courses with more than 150 total contact hours

Absence is defined as non-attendance of a class
for whatever reason. All absences will count as part of the percentage
of total contact hours absent from the course:

The 'FW’ grade is equivalent to the 'F' grade and will contribute
towards a student's GPA
-
Once issued an 'FW’ grade is considered as final even in courses whose
there is a final examination
