Course Description
This is an introductory course to statistics. It will cover the descriptive
statistical methods, random variables, the probability concepts and distributions,
sampling distributions, and estimation. Topics include graphical methods
for presenting data, measures of central tendency, dispersion, and a host
of other statistical topics. The student is expected to spend time studying
to get a good grasp on the main statistical concepts, and practice by solving
problems. This will enable him/her to be a practitioner or to have a foundation
for more advanced courses.
